Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Nurse Dottie application ("Service"), operated by Nurse Dottie ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Nurse Dottie is a medication compliance platform that helps caregivers ("Buddies") manage medication schedules for care recipients ("VIPs"). The Service includes medication scheduling, dose reminders via push notification, email, and SMS, photo verification, compliance reporting, and escalation alerts.

3. Not Medical Advice

Nurse Dottie is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The Service is a reminder and compliance tracking tool only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider for medical decisions. Do not rely solely on Nurse Dottie for medication management.

4. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

5. VIP Consent

By adding a VIP to the Service, you represent that you have obtained the VIP's informed consent (or the consent of their legal guardian) to monitor their medication compliance, receive reminders, and share compliance data with designated caregivers.

6. SMS and Push Notifications

By providing a phone number for a VIP or caregiver account, you consent to receiving automated medication reminders, alerts, and account notifications via SMS and push notification. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP, or disable push notifications in your device settings.

7. Photo Evidence

When photo verification is enabled, the VIP may be required to take photos when logging medication doses. These photos are stored securely and are accessible only to the VIP and their designated caregiver(s). Photos are retained for compliance record purposes and may be deleted upon account termination.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nurse Dottie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed medication doses, health complications, or data loss. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
